What kind of nurser should I use for my newborn kitten?

What kind of nurser should I use for my newborn kitten? Find the appropriate nurser when you are purchasing the milk replacer for your kitten. Often these nursers look like a mini baby bottle. There are different kinds of nipple to choose from as well.

You should pierce the nipple with a needle that has been heated over flame. Another option is to ask your Veterinarian to prepare the nurser for you.

Most importantly DO NOT cut the nipple with a knife, household scissors, or any object other than a needle. If the hole is too large the kitten may choke on the milk as it enters its lungs because the flow of a nipple pierced improperly feeding you kitten too much milk at once.
