Cat Supply

Purchasing supplies for a cat can be a confusing experience, there is so much available in the cat supply section. Knowing what the basics are will limit unnecessary purchases. All cats are different so what works for one may not be right for another.

The first part of the cat supply section is food. Food needs depend on the age and health of the cat. A kitten will need special nutrient dense food. Mature cats will have food that aids in joint movement. Check with a vet for the proper recommendations.

Litter boxes and litter and the next important step. There are a few choices when it comes to litter and it may be difficult to “sift” through the options. In the cat supply section you may even find litter that can be bought on bulk, just bring in your own container and fill.

Other supplies include collars, toys, scratching posts, and health care. What each person needs will depend on the cat, so always go to the vet right away with a new cat to discuss special things that may be needed.
