Cat names
When giving cat names to kittens, you should remember
a few things.
• Cats don’t stay kittens forever –
It is important to make sure that you remember that the cat names you
choose should match the cat when it gets older as well. Naming your
cat “Baby” might not be appropriate after a couple of years.
• Wait a couple of days to name the cat –
One of the nice things about cat names is that you can wait a couple
of days to choose a name if you want to. This will allow you to study
the cat’s personality and understand what the cat should be called.
• Make it short and sweet – Cat names
that are shorter are more likely to be responded to than longer ones.
Naming a cat “Muffin” for example, will likely lead to better
name recognition by the cat than if you name it “Mister Edward
Von Hooferhoven.”
• Make sure that cat names do not rhyme with the name of somebody
else in the home. It could only cause a large amount of confusion and
make the cat and the person frustrated.
