Cat litter
When choosing cat litter, it is best to try to remember
the following things:
• Consider cost – There are gravel-like
litters that are made of crumbled, dry absorbent clay. This kind of
cat litter is typically less expensive. The disadvantage to this type
of litter is that it is not scoop-able. This means that you will need
top discard the litter at least once a week. You also will need to wash,
dry and restock the litter box.
• Look into sand-like litters – There
are some types of sand-like cat litter that might be good to use. This
is popular because cats tend to like the absorbency and texture. Owners
are usually pleased that it is a scoop-able litter. Scooping once a
day and moving the litter around can do a lot for helping keep the litter
box much more fresh.
• Consider odor control – There are a
number of types of cat litter that include odor control, but they are
not always the best option. While everybody wants to be able to control
odor, this scent can sometimes trigger an allergic or negative reaction
in your cats. You may want to try out just a bit of this cat litter
to see how your cats react to it before deciding if you should use it
or not.
